Sicilián Álmond Tomáto Pesto
It's á greát for stingy vegáns. Just try it!!
Ingredients
- 250 gráms (9 oz) pástá of choice
- 100 gráms (3.5 oz) ráw álmonds
- 1 clove of gárlic
- ½ teáspoon red chili flákes
- Á smáll bunch (20 gráms / ¾ oz) fresh básil
- 450 gráms (16 oz) cherry tomátoes
- 1 teáspoon sált
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- Pepper, to táste
Instructions
- Cook the pástá áccording to the páckáge directions. Reserve some of the cooking wáter just in cáse.
- Toást the álmonds in á pán over medium heát. Stir them regulárly so thát they don’t burn.
- Tránsfer the álmond to á food processor álong with the gárlic ánd red chili flákes.
- Pulse until broken down into chunky crumbs. Ádd the básil, cherry tomátoes ánd sált ánd pulse á few more times to chop up the tomátoes.
- Tránsfer the mix to á bowl ánd ádd the olive oil. Stir to combine then ádd the cooked pástá ánd combine well
